Viking Vengeance is a 20-wave alliance defense event that occurs every Tuesday and Thursday. Vikings attack both individual cities and your Alliance HQ, requiring strategic coordination between offense and defense. Your primary goal is to maximize points through aggressive reinforcement while protecting critical HQ waves.

Waves 10 and 20 target your Alliance HQ instead of individual cities. These waves have 10x the difficulty and require full alliance coordination. If the HQ falls, the entire alliance loses massive point potential. You MUST have troops defending the HQ for these waves.

The highest-scoring players use the "Empty City" strategy: send 100% of your Infantry and Cavalry to reinforce online alliance members, keeping only your Guard Station heroes at home. This maximizes reinforcement bonuses while accepting 1-2 city burns as an acceptable cost. Your march kills earn 2-3x more points than home defense kills.

Strategy A (Defensive): Keep all troops home โ 30-100 pts per kill ร limited waves = ~5,000-8,000 total points
Strategy B (Aggressive): Send 90% to reinforce 3 allies โ 50-200 pts per kill + 500 reinforcement bonus ร 18 waves + 7,000 HQ points = ~25,000-35,000 total points
Result: Aggressive reinforcement earns 3-4x more points!

Why: Exceptional damage reduction and troop protection. First choice for Guard Station.

Why: High health and defense stats. Excellent at absorbing Viking damage.

Understanding battle order is crucial: Infantry attacks first โ Cavalry second โ Archers third. Vikings typically die in one turn from Infantry hits, making your troop selection critical for maximizing kills.

Use your Plains HQ during the event if it's more centrally located to alliance members. Shorter distances mean faster recalls and reinforcements during critical Wave 10 and 20 defense windows.
Reinforce members geographically close to you. Shorter travel = more time fighting = participation in more waves = higher points. Target 2-3 minute travel times maximum.
If your city gets burned twice and eliminated, keep all marches out! You continue accumulating reinforcement points for the entire remaining event. Don't give up!
Protective bubbles and shields are completely ineffective during Viking Vengeance. Don't waste themโVikings attack regardless. Your only defense is troop strength.
Never heal troops during the 40-minute event. Healing pulls troops from marches and reduces reinforcement presence. Accept casualties. Heal AFTER the event ends.
Viking Vengeance offers best reward-to-effort ratios in Kingshot. Crafting materials, hero XP, gold, and exclusive equipment. Never miss Tuesday or Thursday!
Problem: Not earning enough points vs alliance members.
Solution: You're leaving too many troops at home. Empty your city and reinforce 3-4 different online members. Reinforcement kills = 2-3x more points than home defense.
Problem: City eliminated before Wave 20.
Solution: Keep stronger defensive heroes at home (Jabel, Howard, Quinn in Guard Station). Even if burned twice, continue reinforcingโyou still earn full points!
Problem: March doesn't arrive for Wave 10 or 20.
Solution: Recall immediately when Wave 9/19 completesโdon't wait. Use closest reinforcement target to minimize travel. Set phone timer if needed!
Problem: Allies say your reinforcements don't get kills.
Solution: Check hero setup. You're using defensive heroes (Howard, Gordon) instead of offensive ones (Chenko, Amadeus). Switch immediately!
Problem: Troops miss battles due to travel time.
Solution: Only reinforce nearby members. Skip anyone 5+ minutes away. Target closest 3-4 members. Consider Plains HQ for central positioning.
Problem: All marches eliminated early.
Solution: You're participating heavilyโgood! You've already earned massive points. Next time, keep 10-20% reserve for later waves if needed.
